At Greygifts, paying on https://eguttedltd.com should be simple and secure for a handcrafted wooden furniture and home décor store. This page explains which payment methods are accepted, how payments are processed, the currency used, what isn’t supported, and how every transaction is protected. It works together with Greygifts’s Shipping Policy, Cancellation Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and Warranty (all amounts shown and refunded in USD).

1. Accepted payment methods

Credit / Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)

  • Choose “Credit/Debit Card” at checkout and enter your details on the secure payment page.

  • Charges are usually processed immediately and an order confirmation is sent to you.

  • For your safety, Greygifts never stores full card numbers or CVV codes.

  • Payments are handled by PCI DSS–compliant payment processors (for example, Stripe or similar) over SSL/TLS encryption.

  • Your bank may ask for extra checks such as CVV, billing ZIP/postcode, or 3-D Secure/SCA.

  • A temporary authorization hold may appear on your statement; it turns into a charge when the order is confirmed, or disappears if the payment fails.

  • Approved refunds are returned to the same card in USD. How fast you see the refund depends on your bank.

PayPal

  • Select PayPal at checkout, log in to your account, and confirm payment. You will then be returned to an on-site confirmation page.

  • If PayPal uses a bank transfer/eCheck, order processing starts after PayPal shows the payment as cleared.

  • Refunds go back to your PayPal account or the original funding source, depending on how PayPal handles the transaction.

Large / high-value furniture orders
To help prevent fraud and protect high-value shipments, Greygifts may:

  • Verify billing and shipping details, or

  • Ask you to confirm the order quickly

This may happen, for example, when order values are high, billing and shipping addresses do not match, or several purchases are placed very quickly. Orders are held only as long as needed to complete these checks.

2. Currency & pricing (USD only)

All orders are processed and refunded in U.S. Dollars (USD).

If your card or PayPal account uses another currency (for example GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD), your bank or PayPal will convert the amount using their exchange rate and may add fees.

These rates and fees are set by your bank or PayPal, not by Greygifts.

Any small differences you see at refund time usually come from exchange rates and fees set by your payment provider.

3. Taxes, duties & what appears at checkout

  • Any sales tax/VAT and any import duties or brokerage fees that Greygifts collects will be shown at checkout in USD.

  • How duties and VAT are handled follows the Shipping Policy for your country or region.

If the Shipping Policy states that your order is shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) or that charges are included:

  • Do not pay the driver or courier for these amounts, because they are already included in the total you paid at checkout (in USD).

If local authorities or carriers will collect charges at delivery:

  • This will be made clear before you confirm and pay at checkout, where possible.

Promotions and discount codes

  • Prices, promotions, and discount codes apply at checkout.

  • They cannot normally be applied retroactively to orders that have already been placed.

4. Unsupported payment methods

To keep payment processing safe, clear, and fast, Greygifts does not accept:

  • Bank transfers or wire transfers (unless clearly and explicitly offered for a specific order)

  • Checks

  • Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • Cryptocurrency

If new payment options are added in the future, this page will be updated.

5. Authorizations, charges, refunds & disputes

Authorizations

  • Card issuers may show a temporary “pending” or authorization hold.

  • Most holds clear within 3–7 business days, but this depends on your bank.

Charges

  • Your card is charged when the order is confirmed.

  • If items in your order ship separately, Greygifts will usually still process one total charge for the full order (unless your bank or the payment method works differently).

Refunds

  • Approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method (card or PayPal) in USD.

  • The time it takes for the refund to appear depends on your bank or PayPal.

Declines / duplicate lines

  • If a payment is declined or you see what looks like a duplicate pending line, try the steps in Section 7 or contact Greygifts.

  • Most failed or duplicate pending lines disappear automatically after a short time (this is controlled by your bank).

Chargebacks

  • If something looks wrong on your statement or with your order, please contact Greygifts first.

  • In many cases, Greygifts can fix the issue faster directly (for example by refunding, correcting an error, or replacing an item).

  • Starting an immediate bank dispute/chargeback can slow down resolution and may add extra steps for both sides.

6. Security & compliance

  • Every checkout uses SSL/TLS encryption, so your data is protected from your browser to the payment servers.

  • Payments are processed through PCI DSS–compliant payment gateways.

  • Greygifts never stores full card numbers or CVV codes.

  • Access to limited payment information is restricted to trained staff, and only for support, order handling, and fraud prevention.

  • For some cards in the EU/UK and other regions, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) / 3-D Secure may be required by your bank.

  • Always check that you see https:// and the lock icon in your browser before entering payment details.

7. Payment troubleshooting (quick fixes)

If a payment fails or looks unusual, try these steps:

  1. Check your details

    • Confirm that the card number, expiry date, CVV, and billing ZIP/postcode match what your bank has on file.

  2. Complete security prompts

    • If your bank shows a 3-D Secure/SCA popup (for example a one-time code or app confirmation), complete that process.

  3. Try another card or browser

    • Try a different card, or switch to another browser or device to rule out technical issues.

  4. Call your bank

    • Ask your bank to approve the transaction, especially if it is a higher amount or an international purchase. Sometimes banks block new or unusual payments by default.

  5. Use PayPal

    • If your card keeps being blocked, try PayPal (if available in your country) as an alternative.

Greygifts aims to respond to payment support messages as quickly as possible on business days.

8. Policy updates

From time to time, Greygifts may update this Payment Policy, for example when:

  • New payment methods are added or removed

  • Security practices change

  • Legal or banking rules are updated

When changes are made, this page and the “Last updated” date at the top will be refreshed. Important changes may also be highlighted on the Website.
